National Minimus Championships 2010

Well done to the team who came a very impressive third at the Championships. Report and photos to follow soon.

Games Trip to Northern Ireland

On the May bank holiday weekend my pony sherry, my family and I went to Donardree, Northern Ireland because I was representing Ireland on a mounted games team. That weekend was the best craic ever! We came 3rd and 4th in our two day competition and despite the odd rain shower causing the equipment to be slippy we played really well! On my team there was two from the Kildares, one from Duhallow and one from Shillelagh.
I made lots of new freinds through ponygames and I think it is great fun! Anyone between the ages of 8-15 can do pony club games and I would highly recommend it!

Mini/Midi/Maxi at Barnadown 21st Feb 2010
We had a lovely, bright sunny day as we enjoyed the fantastic facilities at Barnadown. The competition opened with the minis with Laura O'Connor starting off with her lovely new pony, Cosmo. She managed to get a clear round on her first time out so well done Laura. Padraig Moran followed ,also on Cosmo, as his own pony, Merrylegs, was out of action on the day. Padraig also got a brilliant clear round.

The biggest competition of the day was the midi competition with Jane Hogg taking first and second on Sylvester and Buddy and Niamh Craven coming third on Connie.
Everyone rode really well and some were unlucky to have a fence or two down.

The real fun started with the derby as the competitors flew around the arena to gain.the maximum points. Elma Butler and Roisin Moran came first. Katie McGuinness and Ruairi Craven came second . James Butler and Roisin Moran came third. Well done to everyone who took part.

A big thank you to Maurice and Felicity Cousins for allowing us to use their fantastic facilities.
